Updated: Aug 22, 2025

GET READY! The Wild Turkey Fest is coming on Saturday, September 13, 2025, and it’s going to be a day packed with small-town fun, mountain views, and plenty of turkey-themed festivities!

Start the morng with a hearty pancake breakfast at the fire station, then explore the town with our Scavenger Hunt for a shot at the grand prize — an 8'x8' Tuff Shed! Throughout the day you’ll find live music, local vendors, a farmers market, and tasty food (yes, including turkey legs!). Kids can enjoy games, coloring contests, and activities, while adults can join in the laughs with the Turkey Strut, Turkey Calling Contest, and costume contests. With great prize drawings, community spirit, and fun for all ages, the Wild Turkey Fest is the perfect way to celebrate fall in the Rockies. Don’t miss it!

Talk Like a Turkey, Walk like a Turkey, Dress like a Turkey!

It’s your chance to display your talents at the Allenspark Wild Turkey Fest on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 1:00-2:30pm. The contest sign-up will open at Noon at the Wild Turkey Fest Headquarters in downtown Allenspark.

1:00 pm Turkey Calling Competition – Practice your best Turkey Talk. Gooble! Yelp! Purr.... Cluck.... Cackle...... During the live music intermission, step up to the mic and demonstrate your turkey vocal talents.

2:00 pm Costume Contest – Don your colorful wings, tail feathers, 3 toed feet, red neck wattle! Get creative! Wear any costume you like, but the winners will likely be dressed as Turkeys!

2:15 pm Turkey Strut! Here’s your chance to strut your stuff! Puff out your feathers. Flap your wings. Bob your head. We’ll strut ~ 2 blocks beginning at WTF Headquarters, turn around at Allenspark Lodge and strut back to the start. (Hint – secret judges will be posted along the route, so pace yourself and display all the way!)

Prizes will be awarded to the top kid (under 14) & top adult (14+) in each competition.

Those who enter all 3 competitions will be entered into a special prize drawing.

Be sure to check out all of the action at the Allenspark Wild Turkey Festival, which begins at 9:00 am and includes a community pancake breakfast, booths, vendors, scavenger hunt, live music, farmers market, games, food & drink.
